Our conflict-oriented culture and politics can give us a distorted and incomplete picture of leadership. Winning, demonstrated success, and opportunism may overlook the essential necessity of an inner spirituality of worth which anchors our life. Extrinsic success is to be appreciated but does not define our value. An inner humility which lives life on its own terms creates the space to acknowledge that grace gives us worth and integrity is the prize of our leadership.
