Lucy is a Senior Consultant and Partner with Strategic Leadership Associates. Lucy has been a management consultant for the last 5 years working within the private and nonprofit sectors, following 25 years in the corporate environment. Lucy has been a partner at Altix Consulting, and previously occupied Global and Regional Senior Director positions with Coty, Inc and Procter and Gamble. Throughout her career, Lucy has helped organizations reach record client service levels and achieve profitability goals. Lucy works with senior leaders in the development of strategic plans, organizational changes, and the implementation of operational and organizational interventions.
In her earlier career years, Lucy worked in manufacturing facilities, in Puerto Rico, North Carolina, and Ohio, heading departments with hundreds of employees, helping launch new product innovations to market, and optimizing complex supply chains involving contract manufacturing, suppliers, and logistics partners. Lucy earned Six Sigma Black Belt certification level, a problem-solving methodology, applicable to many fields. Later, Lucy had responsibilities for optimizing the supply chain of $1B sales brands, and to support global operations and teams of employees in Europe, Asia, Latin America, and North America. Lucy was awarded the CEO award to organizational leaders for four years in a row, 2011 to 2014, for her work in that space.
Lucy helped stand up organizations following mergers and acquisitions and worked on both sides of divestitures. In addition, Lucy worked on the design and construction of a new facility that generated over 200 jobs, as well as in consolidation of operations and footprint reductions. In addition, Lucy held several leadership positions in Hispanic affinity groups working to increase corporate representation via recruiting and retention efforts. The group received the Latino Network Diversity award in 2012.
Lucy received a Master in Business Administration with a minor in Health Management from the University of Texas at Tyler, and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from the University of Puerto Rico. Lucy has been a corporate trainer in Leadership Decision Making and Change Management.
As a consultant, Lucy has worked with dozens of organizations in the Midwest to develop and advance their strategic plans, facilitating client engagement sessions, leading organization design workshops, and working on operational strategies and improvement plans.
Lucy volunteered for several years with the American Cancer Society and at her church assisting with English as Second Language Lessons. Lucy mentors young adults as they enter the workforce. Since 2020, Lucy sits on the Board of Directors for Catholic Charities of Southwest Ohio and volunteers on their Service Committee, Su Casa Centers health clinics, and Food for All pantries. The agency served more than 17,000 people last year.
Lucy is married to Darrell, who works with Solvita in Dayton. She has two daughters, Gianna and Bianca, they are students at The Ohio State University in Columbus. Lucy lives in Liberty Township, Ohio.
